The main raw material for briquette production is calx of metallurgical production (80 %), of which the dominant part is FeO. The high content of FeO contributes to forge drainage improvement and decreases tenacity of slag. Small coke particles (10-15 %) substitute a part of fuel and adhesive addition (5-10%) - part of raw limestone in blast-furnace melt. The analysis of chemical content of iron-ore and washing materials points to the fact, that FeO content in washing briquettes greatly exceeds the quantity in agglomerate and pellets. At the same time the fluxing of washing briquettes does not require additional limestone, which decreases the washing effect. (See table 2) |
